Here are the questions:

1. Which disciple is your favorite?

It would probably be Peter

2. How often do you pray The Lord’s Prayer?

I probably could do it more… I don’t want to ever have the mentality of “I’m good, I do it enough”…

3. How often do you take communion?

I do it once a year with my church. We have foot washing and communion at the beginning of every year.

4. Do you listen to sermons during the week?

I have church Sunday and Wednesday every week, but it is very normal for me to listen to online services during the week too. Most of the time I listen to a service right before I go to bed every night.

5. If Jesus asked you to have your own small group of 4, which 3 disciples or Bible Characters would you choose to be in your weekly prayer group?

The first one I would ask is Job, then Daniel, and Ruth.

Why did you choose those 3?

Job is my favorite Bible character! I relate to him a lot… Daniel was a prayer warrior, I want to be more like him… Ruth was such a brave woman, she didn’t have “the name”, but God seen her and used her to do mighty things for His kingdom… I can relate to her too.

7. What Bible characters do you relate to or understand the most?

I kinda already answered this…lol! But I’ll do it anyways, I relate to Job the most! He went through so much and didn’t quit serving God! Everything and everyone was against him, but he kept standing tall, because he knew who he was serving.

8. Which disciple would you argue with the most?

That probably would be Judas…

9. Which disciple would you get along with the best?

Probably Peter…

10. If you were in the painting of the Last Supper, where would you be sitting?

Well, I would like to be sitting by Jesus, but if I was sitting somewhere else I would be happy too, because I’m with Jesus…

11. Peter carried a sword and cut off a soldier’s ear in an attempt to protect Jesus. If you were there that night, what would your reaction have been to the soldiers coming to arrest Jesus?

I would probably do the same or do something worse… I would have done anything to protect Him!

12. We all need a Simon Peter in our life, someone who carries a β€œsword” and will fight for you. Who is/was your Simon Peter?

My Pastor, my family, my youth leaders.

13. Similar to Jesus, we all have a Judas in our lives who helps us fulfill our destiny or find our purpose. Can you look back and appreciate their role in your life despite the harm they did or the hurt they caused?

I’m not going to name any names, because I don’t want too, but a lot of names have came to my mind. Yes, I can definitely appreciate their roll in my life, because if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be who I am today.

Thank you again Purple Rose! This was great!

I tag everyone who just read this! ready..set..GO!

Butterfly visiting a Butterfly

Hey, everyone!! I pray you all are staying safe and your filled with the Joy of the Lord! (You can have joy anytime, no matter your situation).😁

Oklahoma is getting hit pretty hard right now with Covid-19… Our Mayor has made a mask mandate as of July 16, 2020 and will expire on November 30, 2020…

Fun right?!πŸ˜‚ No, but seriously, it could safe lives, so why not do it?!

Let me tell you what I’ve been up too…

Last week would have been Heritage 2020. Heritage is a conference held in Colorado Springs… but because of Covid it had to be canceled like many other things… They was planning on livestreaming the services and my youth group was going to listen to the services together at our church, but for whatever reason they canceled that too. So, my Pastor decided we would just have our own heritage services!! And let me just tell you…. it was incredible!!

We had church on:

  • Tuesday night
  • Wednesday morning
  • Wednesday night
  • Thursday morning
  • Thursday night

I was able to make it to all of the night services and I listened to the morning services from home. It was absolutely amazing…. And it was definitely needed for my youth group and me!! God moved in those services in such a powerful way.

All I got was 1 picture which was during choir practice on the first night of our conference.

The other pictures I have are of me on the last night of our conference…

I was excited…😝

It was a great week and definitely needed after everything that has happen in 2020….I’m very grateful for the opportunity to go…

The next big thing that happened to me you can read it in this post !! I still can’t believe it….

I had my mom take a picture of my hair to see how long it’s gotten since my last picture and it’s grown a little bit more.πŸ˜πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

It is mid-calf or longer now…πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

That brings us to today! Today I was outside looking at my garden and a butterfly came right up to me and just sat there….

You might say “it’s just a butterfly big deal…” Well yes, it is just a butterfly to some, but not to all… This butterfly in a way is God’s way of telling me “I love you and I’m with you”. That might sound sappy and dumb to you, but that’s okay. My friend Renee calls them heart tokens…😁

The butterflies out in my backyard normally are hard to get a picture of, but this one just sat there for a few minutes… Just saying hi…😊

If we can’t find joy in the small things, what can we find joy in?!πŸ¦‹

That’s all I have for today… I love y’all and stay safe… oh and be happy.πŸ˜πŸ¦‹

(Oh, and to explain the title of this post… My name means butterfly… maybe it will make sense now.πŸ¦‹)

I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!!!

Y’all… I can’t believe it!! I got a email last night that literally blew my mind…

The email was from my journalism teachers telling me that my photo essay had placed FIRST place in the 2020 Oklahoma Society of Professional Journalists contest. I was competing against professional newspaper photographers from across the state and I placed first!!! This was my first time entering, and I won…😱

Omw!!!

This was the email I got from my teachers:

Wow…. I am very honored and blessed to have received this award!

Words can’t explain how excited and honored I am!! God is good! And without Him, I’d be nothing….

Now starts the waiting game to wait for my award to come in the mail…πŸ€ͺπŸŽŠπŸ˜‚

This picture was in my photo essay that won…

Does your eyes change colors?

This is going to be short probably, but I’ve been taking pictures of my eyes and I was looking back at them and my eyes change different colors. It’s cool! So I wanted to see if any of your eyes change colors? If so tell me what colors they change to in the comments!

Here are mine…

Gray/blue
Green
Brown

They changed other weird color but that’s all the pictures I have of it.

Anyone else’s eyes change colors? If they don’t change what color are your eyes or what have you always wanted your eye color to be?

Happy 4th!!

Happy 4th to everyone! I know it is a day late, but better late than never.😁 I hope you all had a great 4th and stayed safe.😜

My dad was off of work last Friday for the 4th, so we went to see my grandparents and hanged out down there for a bit. I took some more photos (what’s new?😜)… The lighting in my grandparents kitchen is great! So, I took advantage of it and took pictures of my eyes.πŸ˜‚ My eyes change colors and they looked cool so I needed pictures…

I don’t know if y’all can tell, but lately the red in my hair has been coming out more. It looks really red in the sun. I have a mixture of blonde, brown, and red hair.πŸ˜‚
This was taken on my phone. Green eyes…😁

Here are other pictures I took…

This little hummingbird.

Saturday (the 4th) my mom, dad, and me went to the store, because I wanted to buy new church shoes. Bless our hearts… it was a show. I have the best parents, because they took me and they didn’t have too. Well, we went to the mall and the mall we went to did not have AC… Okay… here in Oklahoma it is hot! Like melt your face off kinda hot. On top of that we had to wear face masks… talk about being hot…πŸ₯΅ I eventually found shoes and we made it out of there without dying.

Now if you know me you know I don’t wear heels… I just don’t. Well, that changed Saturday…

I went off the deep end and got heels.πŸ˜‚

Anyways, we got home and waited for it to get dark and then we went outside and went swimming while we watched fireworks. It was cool!

The fireworks was very close and just to give an example of how close they were my dad got hit in the head with the leftovers of a firework. It was like a ball or something. It was pretty big and hard.πŸŽ† (He’s fine).

Today my family went back to church for the first time in about 2 weeks, because of the high COVID-19 numbers. It was great to be back…πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

This picture… it’s my dad’s Bible and his tie that I picked out for him to buy. I won’t tell the story all over again, but I’m literally holding a answered prayer in a way…❀ My heart is still full of thankfulness.
I got to wear my new shoes today.😜

That’s all I have for y’all today! I pray you all stay safe and have a great week.❀
